The video for the original version of “Raggamuffin”:
Selah Sue began writing music in high school and, by the age of 22, found herself in recording sessions with hip-hop artist Nneka. Her first full-length album was completed in 2010. Praised by Elle (Belgium) as having an “impertinent sense of rhythm…refreshing frankness and a visceral passion for music,” Selah’s musical talents were acknowledged by Prince, who offered Selah a coveted support slot at his shows in Antwerp, Belgium. Selah has already taken home the prestigious French Mercury Prize and the public choice award at the 2012 European Border Breakers Awards, and now looks forward to bringing her inimitable music style to the United States.
Whether performing in smaller settings or at venues filled with thousands, Selah Sue effortlessly mesmerizes the crowd with her innate charm. Make sure you check her when she touches down in your city.
