As you might have heard, Nicki Minaj and the whole YMCMB was under order by the Lil’ Wayne to not go on to perform @ Hot 97′s Summer Jam this year because of what Peter Rosenberg had to say about of Nicki’s “Starships” single earlier today at their annual festival. Even though Tyga did have a very short set and apparently went against Wayne’s wishes not to, this is what Rosenberg said that brought the show to a halt.

“I know there’s some chicks here waiting to see the Starships later, I’m not talking to ya’ll right now. Fuck that bullshit”

Now if you have ever watched or listened to any of Peter’s shows or his Juan Epstein podcasts you will know that he is a really, really big fan of REAL Hip-Hop, NaS, Kendrick, Jay-Z etc etc. You might have also caught him telling how he feels about the female rapper from Queens’ single “Starships”. I can kind of feel where he’s coming from because it’s a pop record, point blank period. However, this isn’t the first time that he has said this openly but he hasn’t done it on a such a public forum like what transpired yesterday afternoon. The festival carried off without Young Money and it seemed like Twitter went into a frenzy. Either way I’m sure Rosenberg will be fine.
