Taking you way back like coach Alan Major’s hairline, this press kit video by Gang Starr makes me miss my favorite monotone rapper even more. In the video, Guru discusses what Gang Starr stands for and also talk about their, at that time upcoming album, “Step In The Arena“. Also notice how camera shy/awkward DJ Premier was at the time. R.I.P. Guru.

April 13th, 2013 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)Our good friends over @ the Triumvir have released a brand new “Victorian Thieves” tee yesterday and it is a very special release in honor an interpretation of Australia’s Victorian past.
Triumvir – Our Victorian Thieves Tee depicts Australia’s ancestral link to the United Kingdom and Queen Victoria; when the island was first occupied as a transport ground for prisoners found throughout the British Empire. The Arm & Sword insignia is inspired by the flag of Thomas Tew, a pirate from the 17th century. A gothic hilt sword from the Victorian Era was also incorporated alongside a tattoo with the stars of the Southern Cross taken from the Australian flag in reference to the historical fact, thieves were often tattooed and branded while imprisoned.
As a special treat for you guys our readers can get 15% off your entire purchase buy using the code CSNW15 to use to shop over @ the Triumvir Shop. Enjoy and happy shopping!
Fredo – Potential & Procrastination (Album)
April 13th, 2013 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)If you know me, you know I have been really busy with this whole Neptunes series crafting and whatnot, but this is a release I should have BEEN posted this. Either way my boy Fredo has just dropped his debut album ‘Potential & Procrastination’. The album encompasses everything that Fredo has gone through in the last couple years from graduating from college, to run in with the police. The CYB&MYB frontman shines through in a what seems like a very dark and emotional state of being. Features and production from Finess The Great, WiseGuy, Gentle Jeff, Young Miss, Noa James, Stevie Crooks and many many more. Very enjoyable album from a good friend of ours.
Odd Future affiliate Mike G just dropped a new compilation of tracks titled “Verses” via the Odd Future Tumblr. This compilation is basically a bunch of tracks that Mike G recorded that never really were attached to anything. If you aren’t a fan of OF, Mike G is probably the most slept on when it comes to their whole collective. Hit the jump for the tracklist and download.

April 11th, 2013 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)From Cuba, to the Brooklyn Nets, and his new deal with Universal, Hov is just talking to the mic addressing his feelings with the assistance of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland on the production side. Yes, Swizz is yelling stuff in the background. EDIT: Video down bottom of the White House responding to some of his lyrics, hilarious.
