What’s good?! It’s about that time again to drop some knowledge from around our way and this week I wanted to focus on the younger generation of rappers in the game right now. As hip hop is mostly dominated by artists like Kanye and Jay-Z, there’s a whole class of rapper’s slowly making their way up the ladder that just might take the spot. With artists like Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean making their place in the genre, there are some other names that just might have the potential to be in heavy rotation. From 25 and below, I’m giving you guys my top 10 illest rappers under 25. Without any more hesitation, let’s get into it! (more…)

What’s Good?! It’s just about that time again so let’s get into this last week of our NBA month for WGW. You know that there’s a lot of dunkers in the game that changed how the art has been percieved. Dr. J, Dominique, Michael Jordan, Vince Carter just to name a few. However, there are some names that have been immortalized in every hoopers mind for either one really memorable dunk, or a gallery of ridiculous dunks. Some names like, Shawn Kemp and T-Mac are a couple that I can name off the top. With that, I wanted to provide y’all with a little bit of what I believe I think are the best dunks of all time. BOOM SHAKALAKA!!! (more…)

What’s Good?! So I previously said that this month would be exclusively dedicated to the NBA since the season is starting up at the end of this month. However, it slipped my mind that Kendrick’s debut album was set to come out this week, so my plans are gonna shift for this week a bit. At this point, who hasn’t listened to Good Kid, m.A.A.d City? With everyone in the Hip Hop world talking bout K. Dot (even Shyne’s irrelevant self), it’s hard not to think about the long road it’s been for Compton’s heir to the throne. From his days as K. Dot to where he’s at now on the week of his debut, he’s had some dope visuals to go along with his tracks. That’s why I’m here! With that, let’s get into my list of Kendrick’s top 10 music videos (so far).

What’s Good?! It’s about that time again to get into some knowledge dumping. To go along with the theme of the NBA for this month, I wanted to talk about another aspect of the game which contributes to the greatness on the hardwood. Every hooper rocks a certain pair of kicks for their own particular reason. Either if it’s for comfort, the way it looks, or because it’s their signature shoe, basketball kicks shape the game and the culture surrounding it. From Michael Jordan to Penny Hardaway, there are some shoes that stand out in the history of the NBA because of what the player did or simply because they were just TOO nice on the eyes. Without further delay, let’s get into this conversation about the best basketball kicks of all-time.

What’s Good?! After the first round of NBA preseason games that came around this past weekend, I thought about all the hype that is surrounding this upcoming season and decided that one week of discussing basketball isn’t going to be enough. So after a while of growing out my unibrow, I decided that this whole month is going to focus on basketball and the NBA season. The first week is going to be introducing the rookies of the year, well not all of them, since I want to keep this WGW up to par with some skill and some class (Ha!). So instead of just dishing out all the rookies, let’s narrow it down to the Top 10 rookie prospects of this year. Some of the people I chose might not be on other top prospect lists, but shit that’s them and I do me! So without further delay, let’s get into what to expect from the top rookies of this year! (more…)

What’s Good?! I’m back again this week to drop some knowledge on some flicks that transcended the screen and translated into music through Hip Hop. Hip Hop isn’t just music, but through the years has turned into a whole lifestyle and culture. Through that, Hip Hop has influenced a lot in the culture that we live in today and has also taken a lot from popular culture and turned it into music. Artist have taken movies and used them as inspiration for their own work, and throughout history have made them into icons in the Hip Hop industry. From the screen to the studio, let’s get to it. What’s Good?! It’s about that time again to drop some knowledge! In about a month, the NBA season will be here once again and bring talk about certain players and their own teams. Throughout the history of the NBA there have been busts that carried a ton of hype like Sam Bowie and Michael Olowokandi, but even great players can fall into the category of being overrated. Going into this next season, there are several players that have left a bad taste in my mouth so I’m going to cleanse my palate with these weeks WGW. (more…)

What’s Good?! This week seems all too familiar, like people were just camping out for the new Idevice just a year ago. Well it’s because it was just last year that the 4S came out and people were waiting outside of Apple stores across the world. While all the Iphone 5 new “features” like a bigger screen and thinner design are I guess cool, there are features that came with today’s IOS 6 update that are possibly even much better and useful.

What’s Good?! This week we’re going to take it to the gridiron in respect to the 2012 NFL season starting this past week. For 7 months, football fans have been fiending for the next season to start, and after all of the bounties, injuries, offseason moves, and incoming prospects, that time is finally here. Set up your tailgate, crack open a few brews and let’s get this thing started.

What’s Good?! I’m back again this week to bring you some of that knowledge. Hip Hop has always been a genre that has gotten attention for it’s profanity in lyrics, glorify of murders, and support of drugs. Needless to say, Hip Hop can never stay away from being under some negative spotlight. When the negatives of Hip Hop are brought up, there are always some faces that come up that are completely associated with bringing some of that controversy into the industry. Whether if it’s a murder charge, or simply some beef started by a diss, Hip Hop brings the controversy. Who are they? Shit, that’s why I’m here. Let’s get into it. (more…)
