Aloe Blacc, as underrated as he is, is probably one of the few artists out there that actually have some real soul and funk in his music. His entire time on Stones Throw records he has always sttod out to me in more ways than one. From love songs about his mother, to street themes like his “I Need A Dollar” which served as the opening theme song for the now cancelled HBO original series “How To Make It In America“.
Another joint that is really dope from him which is my favorite is “Loving You Is Killing Me” his Good Things album, but after seeing this video this song might just take the cake, especially after seeing the adorable little girl in this clip. Enjoy. (more…)
