Long before we heard the record that was responsible for all the noise at the lunch tables that was “Grindin’”, there was an album that was supposed to be released as their debut album on Elektra Records. After the first single “The Funeral” failed to generate a buzz, Elektra then shelved the album and they were let go from the label.

The album has been available for a long while online we couldn’t find it anywhere so we took the initiative to re-upload it ourselves for those that are fans of the Thornton Brothers. The album is ENTIRELY produced by The Neptunes with features and appearances from Kurupt, Pharrell, Lee Harvey, Fam-Lay, Tammy Lucas and more. We also threw in some bonus songs throughout the project as well. Check out the tracklisting below and download after the jump.

On this past Friday night August 19th, Kendrick Lamar headlined @ The Music Box presented by Dream Urban in Los Angeles Hollywood and it was surely a night to remember. Along with Lamar, Casey Veggies, and Schoolboy Q also killed it that night as well. But as the headliner the spotlight was all on him that night. The CSNW team was invited to catch one of the craziest nights in West Coast Hip-Hop. I had the pleasure of being in the building that night after i got ditched by some of my boys, they would soon regret that move. The reason being is that on that night the WHOLE west coast including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Kurupt, Warren G and a host of other legends handed the torch to the Young King Kendrick Lamar. It was such a pivotal moment in West Coast Music history that you HAD to be there. I’m damn sure glad I stayed my ass in the building to witness it myself. It was an honor to be in the same building as all of those greats.

Among the legends that were in attendance Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Big Sean also showed their faces for support. Kendrick was in tears at the amount of blessings that he has received in the past couple years.

Check out the highlight reel that Dream Urban put together from the epic night. Also salute them for putting on such a great event and having so many surprises for their fans.
