On a less grandiose and luxurious stage, Mos Def (Yasiin Bey) was able to convince Kanye to come on the stage with him and not scream, but perform one of the lead singles off Graduation, “Can’t Tell Me Nothing“.

I’m still pissed i missed the Mos & Mannie fresh show out in Austin but this is one of the joints he premiered out in AZ, their collaborative album OMFGOD dropping soon.

Yasin Bey Mos Def performed some unheard of music for the fans at his show a few days ago at the Shrine in Chicago. Mos tells that it was a cut that was supposed to be on his True Magic album that was released a few years ago. Interesting.

The last time we saw most of you was 2 weeks ago was with the first installment of our “Other Side of the Planet” series and I was most certainly caught off guard by the attention that it got from everyone on the web. It was a crazy sight to see so many people excited over a compilation this big before. Either way it goes myself and Cory have to thank each and every one of you guys for downloading, sharing, retweeting, blogging, re-blogging and playing it. Truly means a lot to see the love shown from everyone. Which brings us to the second part of the series.

In this one we wanted to bring you guys something special, brand new songs comes brand new artwork, comes a brand new feeling. I created the art in hopes of capturing those who enjoy the “TRON” music series and fused it with space. I had fun in making it and i hope you guys enjoy it visually. Part 2 of the series includes records Produced by The Neptunes from N*E*R*D, R. As it now being December I decided to put something together that could start up something potentially bigger than myself. Which brings me to #DickHerDownDecember. Now listen here, I don’t condone unprotected sex but with this mix I just kinda just whipped together that might be out the window. I wanted to do something like this a while back but never had enough records to do so. Either way I had some random time on my hands to create a nice little “dick her down” mix, which features a TON a songs from The-Dream, Mos Def, Jon B., Silk, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake, Trey Songz, The Weeknd, Dwele, Ginuwine, Bobby Valentino, Joe, Rashad, Ne-Yo, Alicia Keys and many many more.

Be Careful with this one! Tracklist and download after the jump. Lookout for Vol 2 coming later this month.

Another video of Mos Def and Mannie Fresh in the studio creating “OMFGOD”. Which will hopefully see the light of day sooner than later. Also included is Yasin’s “Don’t Like” freestyle.

In recent years the mysterious musical figure we call Jay Electronica has been missing on the music scene, which definitely isn’t something new for a nomad like him. A few months ago he popped up on the forefront at Jay-Z’s Made In America festival and did a very short set promising the album and the first single was coming featuring Chris Brown was on its way. Since then we have not heard from him via Twitter and Instagram, but he randomly pops up on the scene here and there. most recently, Just Blaze tweeted this picture of him and Jay Elect in the studio earlier today. He also tweeted a video that implied that there was music being made today as well.

I’m sure you’re wondering where the f*ck Jay Electronica is too, right? We have no idea what is going on with his debut album or whatever else he has going on at the moment. All we do know is that some people are still awaiting his project. In the meantime we conjured up Where The F*ck Is Jay Electronica to catch some people up on some tunes they might have missed as well as some gems and the full audio of an interview with the Red Bull Music Academy that he participated in a few years ago. Features and appearances by Che Grand, Just Blaze, The-Dream, NaS, Mos Def, J Dilla, Curren$y, Kidz In The Hall and many more. Tracklist down below.

“A Modern Marvel in Marvelous Times” explores Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def during his visit to the Shrine in Chicago. In this Camovement by Cam Be, Mos speaks on his move to New Orleans, the city of Chicago, and his microphone. Including live performance clips of some of his most well-known songs “Casa Bey,” “The Panties” “Umi Says” and “Hip-Hop.”

This has to be one of the dopest most unorthodox collaborations I’ve seen in a long time. Mannie and Mos get it in with a new record called ‘OMFGOD’, and gets a nice lil freestyle session as well.

I’m about 99.9% sure that Ye negociated this deal with LV for Bey, espescially because he had a shoe deal a couple of years ago. Anyway its good to see Mos (not Yasin) back in business with SOMEONE. This is their new ‘Dream’ campaign I’m guessing for the Fall season. Hopefully we will see more ads and promos like these soon.
