Every Spring in Southern California, legends and up and coming artists assemble at the Paid Dues Music Festival hosted by Murs and Guerilla Union to put on one of the biggest shows of the year for Hip Hop’s loyal fans. This year, the Paid Dues lineup didn’t hold out on fans, and the fans responded with the masses, with over 25,000 fans filling up the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. From Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae (the only female artist on the lineup) to Joey Bada$$ and Flatbush Zombies, the span of decades covered for Hip Hop fans was very diverse. Headlining the event we’re most recent breakout artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Black Hippy, and Dom Kennedy. With a lineup like that, it’s safe to say that the day was constantly active on any of the three stages that Paid Dues had to offer.

Skeme – I Got Work feat. Bizzy Bone (Prod. Wundermine) (Music Video)
February 26th, 2013 | Posted by in Videos - (0 Comments)Inglewood native @Skeme links up with @ThisIsBizzyBone on his latest single produced by the Inland Empire’s very own @Wundermine. Look out for more music from the I.E. producer coming soon.
A little late on this one, but @TeeFlii has a solid piece here. Majority of this project is produced by Mr. Flii himself, but you’ll find a few bangers produced by DJ Mustard, The Futurisiks, 1500 or Nothhin, Larry Berry, Klink, and Kay Ess. This joint is consistent if I’ve ever heard it. Every beat slaps and he keeps the smooth sound from beginning to end. You’ll also find some heavy collabs on here. It should be no surprise that Skeme the duke and Problem hopped on a few tracks, but you’ll also find Nipsey Hussle and a handful of other West Coast artists. Enjoy!

August 28th, 2012 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (1 Comments)Throughout high school I was always asked what song or artist I was listening to and where I got my music. Get it yet? This is a playlist of the songs that I kept on my main playlist in my currently lost or stolen iPod, and are probably still in rotation today. I believe there will be something for everyone so don’t BOO! me if you don’t like one. I truly hope you enjoy this refresher! Feedback and criticism welcomed (@SleepyJargon) as always. I’ll give y’all 8 since Myspace was live back then. Also, this order means nothing except this is the order I found them today, and many weren’t on Hulkshare anymore. Hit the jump for the rest.

July 11th, 2012 | Posted by in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)DWND & CSNW Presents: A Story To Tell: Kendrick Lamar (Mixtape)
May 4th, 2012 | Posted by in CSNW Mixes - (4 Comments)If you’ve been keeping up with us in the last month you will remember that we started a mixtape collaboration series with DealWithNoDeal and kicked it off with G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean. Well this time around is no different and we have something very very special for you guys. Kendrick Lamar has been one of the top rising artists out of the West Coast within the last 2 years, getting co-signs from Dr. Dre, Snoop, Jay-Z and many more, which is why we wanted to showcase his talents in this tape. Not only did we do that but we also wanted to make sure that the folks that aren’t fans yet get a chance to hear him at his fullest potential and give you guys something special!
Now, what makes this tape so special is that we actually went through and made a couple of our own edits to a bunch of record to make them feel a bit more complete. We can’t tell you exactly what we did to some of the records but if you’re a KDot fan you will notice that some of these aren’t the same versions you have previously heard before. Appearances by ScHoolBoy Q, Ab-Soul, Alori Joh, Gunplay, U-N-I, Skeme, Jhene Aiko, Javonté, Dom Kennedy, Murs, Gucci Mane, BJ the Chicago Kid & more. Definitely a collectors item for any and all Kendrick Lamar fans. Hit the jump for full tracklist and download. Enjoy!
