It’s about that time of the year folks, the weather is getting hotter, people wearing less clothes and Summer is rapidly approaching us. Not only is the weather changing so is every single one of our lives, so thats why us @ CSNW decided to put this nice little series together, our official workout/gym series. Split into 3 parts, each playlist is designed to get people up and out of the house and get back to eating and living right again. Hopefully everyone will like this series and inspire folks to change their day-to-day habits. Each mix 50 tracks long, and will drop every Thursday. The first installment features appearances from Game, J. Cole, Clipse, Fat Joe, Mobb Deep, Pharrell Williams, Outkast, Stevie Crooks, Kanye West, Lil’ Scrappy, Beanie Sigel, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Wale, 2 Chainz and many many more. Enjoy!

Our good friend Stevie Crooks has steadily been killing everything that moves these last 3 months, and even after his Paid Dues performance he’s still keeping things consistent by dropping gems on us and always keeping things fresh. This smooth joint here, “Pray Hard, Work Hard” to me is a Life Anthem. In order to play you have to pray, and in order to win you gotta work your ass off as well. This was another joint that I remember be present of during the recording process and I love that it gets to see the light of day. Enjoy.

Me being a HUGE Stevie Crooks fan I just decided to check out The Villains Bandcamp page and I ended up finding this little gem which I didn’t have. “RTWG” is a bonus track off of Stevie’s “Cashmere Killer” that he dropped last year and for me it must have been swept under the rug but this is why I wanted to share it with you all. Enjoy!

Every Spring in Southern California, legends and up and coming artists assemble at the Paid Dues Music Festival hosted by Murs and Guerilla Union to put on one of the biggest shows of the year for Hip Hop’s loyal fans. This year, the Paid Dues lineup didn’t hold out on fans, and the fans responded with the masses, with over 25,000 fans filling up the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. From Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae (the only female artist on the lineup) to Joey Bada$$ and Flatbush Zombies, the span of decades covered for Hip Hop fans was very diverse. Headlining the event we’re most recent breakout artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Black Hippy, and Dom Kennedy. With a lineup like that, it’s safe to say that the day was constantly active on any of the three stages that Paid Dues had to offer.

As we get closer to the Paid Dues Festival this saturday, Stevie brings forth a new joint for us to enjoy.

Le Champagne is very vivid Narration through the eyes of a very conscience Stevie being observant to what occurs inside the scene with gold diggers and the men who feed their thirst every night. in the first verse “Oh cuban link on his neck, Oh rolly role on his wrist, Oh black card in his wallet, gold bottles thats it! This explains what the girl sees as a opening or chance to feed her appetite for vanity. feeling hes out of place he wants to leave but as the song continues and the beat rises stevie feels compelled to join the crowd and dance along though hes not in awe of the events occurring in front of him. As the second verse starts you realize stevie is back sitting down observing beautiful women lower their values for a shot to be chosen in the litter of busy bodys for VIP and a shopping spree the next morning. Aware of this he sits solo as others around him take advantage but instead of pouring his bottle on a girl he drinks the bottle alone.

White kids trying to get waves isn’t so dope, but a new track from Stevie Crooks most likely is. This new track produce by Shaheed definitely is one of those. The vibe of this track is so grimey.

Ha! With just 2 weeks left before the annual Paid Dues Festival out here in Cali, big homie Stevie Crooks comes through and drops some new shit on us. Letting his fans know that just juts tryna make something of himself just like everyone else. This is another joint I had the pleasure of seeing Stevie record while we linked up with him for our Paid Dues campaign. Beatmaster Zeniro comes through with some jazzy shit for Crooks to float on. Listen up.

After a few weeks of being under the radar for a few weeks, our good friend Stevie Crooks is ready to give the world some brand new tunes. This joint is pretty damn smooth is you ask me. Much love to him as he continues on his path to Paid as well. Make sure you get your tickets here if you haven’t done so already.

Fresh off the announcement of finding out that he will performing at Paid Dues 2013, our brethren Stevie Crooks comes though with a brand new joint that proves the man is on his way to nothing but Greatness. Produced by another good friend of ours, Doughmars. I hate to brag, but I was blessed to have seen Stevie murder this joint in real life. Dude is a BEAST. Listen to the track and you will soon to find out for yourself.

Last year, our boy Curtiss King campaigned like crazy and was given the opportunity to perform at Paid Dues, and now another friend of ours at CSNW has made it to the stage. We all campaigned for the past month and now Stevie Crooks is officially on the Paid Dues 2013 lineup! Thanks to all of you, Murs x Guerilla Union paid attention, and now Stevie will be sharing the Paid Dues stages with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Ab Soul, Schoolboy Q and many others. Be sure to come out to the NOS Center in San Bernardino, CA on March 30th to represent for our boy Stevie Crooks and NYCA. Stay tuned for more on Paid Dues and coverage of Stevie Crook’s trip to Paid Dues 2013. Undefeated ALL Season.
