Waaaaaaay before Kanye formed the GOOD Music imprint that you guys might know now there was this first roster which was made up of (Kanye, Common, Consequence, Big Sean, PM, GLC, Really Doe, Bentley, Sa-Ra, Tony Williams) so I decided to bring this back around for those who may or may not have heard before and because I didn’t see a download link anywhere but Dat Piff. The mixtape features a bunch of snippets from Ye, joints from his whole team, freestyles and a couple of other rarities. Features from 88-Keys, Talib Kweli, Kid Sister, Jenifer Hudson and a few more. Oh and its Mixted by Kanye’s former A&R Pain Pat and is the first time we saw Big Sean on the scene. Tracklist and download below.

Talib Kweli’s “Prisoner of Conscious” Gets A Slight Delay

Originally slated for an April 23rd release, Talib came out of the Twittterworks today to announce that his album will be pushed back a couple weeks (May 7th) due to sample clearance issues. Click the jump for the tracklist, and yes, Kendrick Lamar is featured on this album as well.

CSNW Paid Dues 2013 Wrap-Up

Every Spring in Southern California, legends and up and coming artists assemble at the Paid Dues Music Festival hosted by Murs and Guerilla Union to put on one of the biggest shows of the year for Hip Hop’s loyal fans. This year, the Paid Dues lineup didn’t hold out on fans, and the fans responded with the masses, with over 25,000 fans filling up the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. From Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae (the only female artist on the lineup) to Joey Bada$$ and Flatbush Zombies, the span of decades covered for Hip Hop fans was very diverse. Headlining the event we’re most recent breakout artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Black Hippy, and Dom Kennedy. With a lineup like that, it’s safe to say that the day was constantly active on any of the three stages that Paid Dues had to offer.

As we all know Kendrick’s debut album “good kid, m.A.A.d city” hits stores later this month on October 22nd so us at CSNW linked up with the DOPE Chicks at Womazing and wanted to give the fans something special as a pre-album to keep his fans up to dat just in case they have been sleeping. “alw.A.A.ys been, a good kid” EP is a 2 disc EP that is packed full of exclusives as well as some records that may have been overlooked.

The first disc is all Kendrick, a couple features, exclisves and new freestyles spread throughout, the second disc is all of KDot’s recent notable features and special appearances. The entire project features appearances from E-40, The Game, Gunplay Dr. Dre, Birdman, Ab-Soul, Talib Kweli, Rick Ross, Wale, ScHoolBoy Q, Dom Kennedy, Skeme, Casey Veggies, Mac Miller, Big Sean and a ton more.
