Every Spring in Southern California, legends and up and coming artists assemble at the Paid Dues Music Festival hosted by Murs and Guerilla Union to put on one of the biggest shows of the year for Hip Hop’s loyal fans. This year, the Paid Dues lineup didn’t hold out on fans, and the fans responded with the masses, with over 25,000 fans filling up the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. From Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae (the only female artist on the lineup) to Joey Bada$$ and Flatbush Zombies, the span of decades covered for Hip Hop fans was very diverse. Headlining the event we’re most recent breakout artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Black Hippy, and Dom Kennedy. With a lineup like that, it’s safe to say that the day was constantly active on any of the three stages that Paid Dues had to offer.

May 2nd, 2012 | Posted by in Videos - (0 Comments)After releasing their debut project “Purple Naked Ladies” The Internet is back to work in this promo vid for their upcoming documentary in which they hope to raise 15K for a real documentary. I actually think this is dope, especially after dropping a very dope project like PNL. they mention that their new project Feel Good is coming soon and will feature a couple of artists that we know such as SBTRT and more. Very dope news to hear.

Odd Future member & DJ Syd Tha Kid has paired with with engineer Matt Martian to create the group “The Internet”. I must say that this interests me a whole lot, only because I would have NEVER would have though that Syd would ever have any type of vocal abilities at all. “They Say” is a record about not worrying about what other people say, to love and grow as each day progresses. The track sounds awesome to me and it seems like the whole OF team is full of talent and are doing what they WANT to do versus what appeals to everyone else. Syd has a Beautiful singing voice and blew me away from her talents. (more…)
